Day 1
Day 1: Arrive Leh

Welcome to Leh, the capital city of Ladakh. On arrival at KushokBakula Rinpoche (KBR) Terminal Leh,,begin your tour of 'Himalayan Desert - Off the Beaten Track'. You will metour representative and transferred to your hotel 2/3 kms - 10min drive. Take complete day at rest for acclimatization. Around 4:30 pm visit to Shanti Stupa to enjoy a panoramic view of Lehtown which was built in 1983 and inaugurated by HH Dalai Lama, later visit Sankar Monastery. Overnight stay at the hotel

Day 2
Day 2: On to Nubra Via Khardungla Pass(125 kms / approx. 4-5 hour drive)

This morning, drive to Nubra Valley, popularly known as Ldorma or "the valley of flowers" via Khardungla Pass - the world's highest motor able road (5602 mts). On arrival, check into your camp. Later in the afternoon visit the main Diskit Monastery and the giant statue of Maitreya Buddha which is the tallest Buddha statue in Ladakh inaugurated in 2010 . Later visit the white sand dunes at Hunder where you can enjoy the camel ride (on direct payment). The rest of the evening is free for leisure activities. Overnight stay at the hotel (B)

Day 3
Day 3: On to Leh, en- route visit Samstanling(272 kms/ approx. 7 hour drive)

On to Leh, en- route visit Samstanling Today drive back to Leh, en - route visit Samstanling monastery on the other side of Nubra valley. Thereafter we drive back to Leh via Khardongla pass. The rest of the evening is at leisure in Leh.Overnight stay at the hotel (B)

Day 4
Day 4: In Leh, Day excursion visiting Shey palace

Today, proceed on a full-day excursion visiting Shey Palace, the 15th century summer palace and monastery of Leh's Royal family; the 800 year old gompa at Thiksey built on a hilltop and modeled on the famous Potala Palace in Lhasa.Later, visit Hemis Monastery hidden in a gorge, the largest and wealthiest gompa in Ladakh. On the way back to Leh visit to a ladakhi family home in stok village to try local butter tea/ barley drink and see a typical Ladakhi family home. Back to Leh by evening and free. Overnight at the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel

Day 5
Day 5: On to Pangong Lake (135 kms / approx.4-5 hour drive)

In the morning, proceed to visit the amazing Pangong Lake to the east of Leh, crossing Changla Pass 17500 ft / 5300 mts.Pangong is one of the largest lakes in the Himalayas spanning 140 kms in length and 3-10 kms in width, half of which is in Tibet. Explore the crystal clear blue salt water lake.Overnight stay at the camp (B)

Day 6
Day 6: On to Leh Via Changla Pass (135 kms / approx. 4-5 hour drive)

This morning, proceed for Leh, once again driving via Changla pass, the world's 3nd highest motorable road. The evening is at leisure to explore the Leh bazaar for souvenirs or visit LehJokhang/Leh mosque by foot. You can take easy walk to explore Moti Market, Nowshere bazaar and Super market etc. The Balkhangchowk Apricot street is an interesting visit. The rest of the evening is at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel (B)

Day 7
Day 7: Depart Leh | Return home with happy memories

Today bid farewell to your 'Himalayan Desert - Off the Beaten Track' tour as you are transferred to KBR Airport Leh for your onward journey.
